Searching for Materials at UC & OhioLINK

The UC library catalog is a searchable database of all print materials and many online materials that are in UC libraries.

The OhioLINK Catalog allows for searching of books and other materials across the State of Ohio. Search OhioLINK if an item is unavailable at UC.

Using the library catalog, you can request to have one circulating materials from one UC library or an OhioLINK library be sent to the GMP Library. You will receive an email when the requested item is available for pick-up at the circulation desk.

Note: it can take 3-5 business days to receive materials requested from another UC or OhioLINK library. UC materials can sometimes be obtained more quickly by picking up the item in-person at that location.

For journal articles, check the Full-Text Journal Finder for electronic availability, and the Library Catalog's journal search for print holdings. Note: older backfiles for most journals are only available in print.

Storage

Many publications (books, bound journals, government documents) are located in remote storage, Southwest Ohio Depository (SWORD). UC students, faculty, and staff can request books through the library catalog, and journal articles through Interlibrary Loan (ILLIAD).

Users not affiliated with UC should request journal articles from SWORD using this SWORD Request Form . You will receive an email containing a PDF of the scanned article.
