Library Services Platforms Upgrade

The OhioLINK consortium, which includes the University of Cincinnati Libraries, is upgrading the Library Services Platforms (LSP) in summer 2025 to Ex Libris Alma/Primo VE.

The LSP is the suite of software that libraries use to acquire, manage and lend resources and allows users to search and access those resources. This LSP upgrade will provide advancements in:

  • 21st-century teaching, learning and research,
  • Streamlined day-to-day library operations and
  • Enhanced stability and security.

Once live in summer 2025, the UC community can expect enhancements to the Libraries’ catalog searching, access and delivery of electronic resources, as well as streamlined borrowing from other OhioLINK member libraries.

UC Libraries staff and librarians are heavily involved in the project and are working to prepare for this major transition.

Look for more information in early spring. In the meantime, learn more via OhioLINK.

The Ohio Library and Information Network (OhioLINK) is Ohio’s statewide academic library consortium serving 118 libraries, 89 institutions of higher education, the State Library of Ohio and more than 570,000 end users. The University of Cincinnati Libraries is a founding member.
