Reserves
As we transition during the Libraries' system migration, course reserves are still being configured. We need a few weeks to make the items searchable via OneSearch and adjust the loan periods.
We appreciate your patience as we continue to refine processes following the migration. As always, please reach out to Rachel Hoople (rachel.hoople@uc.edu) with any questions.
Materials used for courses may be placed on reserve by instructors to ensure a large number of students can use a limited number of resources. Items in the reserves collection circulate for shorter periods of time and may not be renewed.
For more information about reserves available at all UC Libraries locations, please visit the central UC Libraries Reserves webpage.
Checking Out Items on Reserve
CECH Library course reserves are shelved behind our Info Desk on the 3rd floor of the library. Please bring your Bearcat Card or a valid photo ID to check out items on reserve. Please note that items circulate for shorter periods of time, and many are library use only.
Items on reserve may circulate for 2 hours (library use only), 24 hours, or 3 days. Circulation periods are determined by instructors and may not be adjusted by library staff.
Placing Physical Materials on Reserve
UC instructors may place materials (known as Traditional Reserves) on reserve by complete the CECH Library Reserves form. To place personal copies of itesm on reserve (instructor owned copies), please fill out the reserves form and bring your items to the CECH Library Info Desk, located at 300 Teachers-Dyer, at your earliest convenience. Items owned and circulated by UC Libraries may also be requested for reserve. Please allow a 2-week turnaround time for all course reserve requests.
Please note that purchasing items for reserve is currently unavailable due to the libraries' system migration. Please reach out to your liaision librarian for more information.
