Robert A. Deshon and Karl J. Schlachter Library for Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning

The Click & Collect retrieval and pickup service allows UC users to request printed library materials in the Library Catalog for pickup at designated locations. Requests at the DAAP Library made before 9am on a weekday will be available for pick up on the next weekday betweem 10am and 4pm. See Hours section below for any exceptions to this. Users should wait for an e-mail pickup notice before coming to pick up requested items.

DAAP Library requested library materials can be picked up on a cart at the entrance to the DAAP Library.

  • Wait for email notice.
  • Bring your Bearcat card. We submit ID swipe access to Public Safety each day, for M-F 10-4 access, for two weeks or until items are picked up.
  • Pick up outside of DAAP Library on cart.

When searching for print materials in the Library Catalog, items with the status of “Click & Collect" are available for request. Items from one library location cannot be requested for pickup at another library location.


Hours

  • Regular Hours: Monday-Friday 9am-4pm. 
  • Please email Elizabeth Meyer with questions and requests for materials.
  • Click & Collect daily, Monday-Friday.
  • Materials are located on a cart at the library's entrance. If you are a non-DAAP borrower we will contact Public Safety for Bearcat ID swipe access M-F, 10-4 for two weeks or until items are retrieved.
  • All UC Students will be required to display a ‘Green’ pass to security guards on the UC COVID Check App.  Faculty, staff, and visitors may also use the UC COVID Check App in order to secure a green pass or will be asked screening questions to gain entry to all locations.

  • The DAAP Library is open to browse, view, and checkout library materials, and for computer use to access library resources. No study rooms or study tables will be available.

Checked Out Library Materials

  • Fines will not be incurred for UC, OhioLINK or Interlibrary Loan items.
  • If you need to return print materials, a book return drop slot is available on the Walter C. Langsam Library building immediately outside of the main entrance lobby doors. During plaza construction, the drop slot is easiest to reach via the library lobby. When arriving via Woodside Drive/Library Garage, proceed to the 4th floor to enter the lobby. Proceed through the available door to exit the lobby and access the drop slot.
