Equipment Lending

Available Equipment

Laptops and calculators are available for check-out to UCBA students only. UCBA Faculty or Staff needing access to a laptop should contact UCBA IT.

Laptops

Dell laptops with Internet access and MS Office 2013 are available for check-out to UCBA students in good standing  (i.e. no outstanding library materials or replacement fines).

  • Laptops are only available on a first-come, first-served basis at the UCBA Library Information Desk. The Library has a limited number of laptops to lend. 
  • Borrowers must agree to and sign a UCBA Library Equipment Borrower's Agreement stating the borrower is responsible for the cost of any damages while in their custody, up to the replacement cost of the laptop.
  • Only one laptop may be checked out per student account.
  • Laptop Loans available
    • 3 Day Loans: Laptops may be taken off campus and must be returned by the due date to avoid fines and suspension of borrowing privileges. *Communication is important. If unique circumstances prevent you from returning laptops on time, communicate with us immediately.  

Overdue Laptops

UCBA Laptop policies including grounds for suspension from borrowing are outlined in the UCBA Library Laptop Lending Agreement. Suspensions may be appealed by submitting an online Appeal Form. 

  • Appeal requests will be reviewed and decisions will be communicated via email within 48 business hoursof the submission barring any extenuating circumstances. 
  • Any delay in responding to the appeal will be communicated to the student.     

Calculators

Calculators are available for check-out to current UCBA students in good standing. 

  • Calculators are only available on a first-come, first-served basis at the UCBA Library Information Desk
  • Graphing, and Scientific calculators are available. 
  • Only one calculator may be checked out per student account.
  • Calculator Loans available
    • 4 hour Loans: Calculators are for on campus use only. 
    • 3 Day Loans: Calculators may be taken off campus and must be returned by the due date to avoid fines and suspension of borrowing privileges. *Communication is important. If unique circumstances prevent you from returning calculators on time, communicate with us immediately.
