General Procedures
- Technology for checkout at CECH Library is for the CECH community only, no exceptions. See above for list of technology specified for students and technology specified for faculty-staff. Students may not check out technology meant for faculty-staff, and faculty-staff may not check out technology meant for students.
- Technology requests are reviewed daily Monday-Friday, please allow at least one full business day between the request date and desired pickup date to allow staff adequate time to review and process your request.
- CECH Library technology items must be returned to CECH Library, no exceptions.
- Please notify library staff of any loss, damage, or defect immediately upon return of the item.
iPad Checkout Procedures
In addition to the general procedures above, see below for additional requirements for checking out iPads from the CECH Library.
- Contact CECH Library for specific iPad app requests at least 1 week prior to desired checkout date.
- A total of 5 iPads (10th generation) are available for checkout.
- Students must sign a borrower's agreement prior to checking out iPads. Signing the borrower's agreement affirms the borrower's responsibility for all fines or fees incurred.
Laptops are now available through CECH Office of Innovative Technology and Learning Design (OITLD) request portal. In the portal, click on "Loaner Equipment" to request a laptop. You may be to asked to sign in with your UC login credentials.
