Data and Computational Science Series
The Data and Computational Science Series (DCS2) brings to the University of Cincinnati research and education community innovative workshops and distinguished speakers on advanced research data topics such as high performance computing, cloud computing, data visualization and analytics, research story-mapping, spatial analysis, artificial intelligence and machine learning.
The Data and Computational Science Series (DCS2 ) “Version 2.0” for 2019 will include both in-house and external experts in a wide range of computational and data science domains, with the aim to enrich the quality of faculty teaching, scholarship and research.
Planned areas of focus:
Data Visualization: The Geology-Mathematics-Physics Library (Braunstein Hall) is the new home of a Visualization Laboratory space. This highly-desired resource is available to faculty in all disciplines and allows classes and other groups to explore and present their work in innovative and insightful ways. We plan to host beginner to advanced level workshops, taught by internal and external experts, that will enhance visual thinking and data visualization best practices.
Timeline
The Data and Computational Science Series (DCS2) 2019 will host a wide range of computational and data science domains, with the aim to enrich the quality of faculty teaching, scholarship and research.
All events are free, registration is required.
