The University of Cincinnati announced that John (Marty) Emmert, PhD, professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, will serve as interim dean for the College of Engineering and Applied Science. Emmert takes on the position June 1, as John Weidner, PhD, transitions from CEAS dean to his role as UC’s interim executive VP for academic affairs and provost.

UC researchers are refining the use of isotopic analysis to study wide-ranging and elusive animals such as hawks and owls. They found that digestion can alter isotopes in regurgitated bones and bird guano.
All University of Cincinnati Libraries will be closed on Thursday, June 19 in observance of Juneteenth. Regular library hours for all locations will resume Friday, June 20.
