Off-Campus Access for UCBA Users

When to Use: Ideal for research sessions that require quick and easy access. 

How to Connect: Click the Proxy Login button to login with your UC ID Username and Central Login Password. Once you login, you'll be returned to the main UCBA Library homepage and can begin your research.

AnyConnect replaced Pulse Secure as UC's VPN client on March 1, 2019.  

When to Use: Ideal method for longer research sessions up to 24 hours. You can login to the VPN, or install a client on your device. (If you are a UC faculty, staff, or currently enrolled student, Secure Access via the VPN is recommended when accessing UC resources from off campus).

VPN Software Installation for Access

Connecting to VPN: Once installed:

  1. Open the VPN AnyConnect client from your computer/device
  2. Enter your UC username and password
  3. Click Login. 
  4. Launch your browser and begin your research.
