Faculty Research Lightning Talks
This event showcases UCBA faculty research and shares different aspects of the research process in short, informal, 15 minute presentations. The lightning talks can focus on initial research inquiry, most interesting parts of the research, how the research process was conducted, and conclusions.
The event takes place in the spring semester in the Learning & Teaching Center (Muntz Hall 117). This year's event will be on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 from 3:00-4:30 pm.
Who is the audience for this event?
This event is open to all UCBA faculty, staff and students. Given the diverse audience, attendees may or may not be familiar with the presenter's discipline.
Does the project need to be completed in order to present?
The project can either be completed or close to completion (e.g., preliminary data analysis is ready).
What types of research can be presented?
This event is designed to highlight research projects and/or studies conducted by UCBA faculty. The projects (e.g., creative, SoTL, discipline-specific) can involve data collections, data analysis, observations, and/or creative works.
