Open Educational Resources & Affordable Learning

Clermont College Library supports the college's affordable learning initiatives. In addition to supporting OER, the library also provides a textbook reserve program and collaborates with faculty to identify affordable learning options.

What are Open Educational Resources?

"Open Educational Resources (OER) are teaching, learning, and research materials in any medium - digital or otherwise - that reside in the public domain or have been released under an open license that permits no-cost access, use, adaption, and redistribution by others with no or limited restrictions."

How can the library help?

Clermont College Library liaisons are available to help faculty identify OER (including open textbooks) that can be embedded into their courses, discuss open licenses, help adapt resources, and more. To discuss your specific needs, please contact your library liaison.
