The Robert A. Deshon and Karl J. Schlachter Library for Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (the DAAP Library) fosters excellence in art and design scholarship by providing its users with on-site access to nearly 100,000 monographs and bound journals, hundreds of the most important art and design periodicals in print, and a growing special collection that comprises new, important, rare, aged, and hand-crafted books and objects. As a part of the greater UC Library and OhioLINK system, the DAAP Library also offers it's affiliates seamless access to thousands of subscription-based databases, e-journals, e-books, and unique digital resources. Specialized research services such as "patron-driven acquisitions" and interlibrary loan, connect artists, designers, and scholars with materials in disparate locations around campus, Ohio, the US, and beyond.
