Borrowing Policies

Please be sure to check your item and time due slip to ensure Equipment Reserve items are returned on time and in good condition.

  • Failure to return the equipment at the agreed upon time adversely affects pending loans by other students, faculty, and staff and will result in owing a fine of $1/hour, $8/day, and $50/2 days, the replacement fee for the equipment, a Service Block on the UCBA student’s account, and possible forfeiture of the privilege to borrow in the future.
  • Equipment left unattended or removed from campus will result in having UCBA Library Reserve equipment borrowing privileges suspended at a minimum for the remainder of the current academic semester.
  • The Library reserves the right to suspend service to anyone who abuses equipment or is repeatedly late in returning laptops.

Library Reserve Equipment items considered "excessively overdue" are one or more days late.  Please refer to the Excessive Overdue Reserve policy for more information.
