Purchase Request Recommendations
All members of the UCBA community are welcome to recommend books, media or journals for purchase by the Library using the UCBA Library Purchase Request Form. Before submitting your request, please review the criteria for selecting materials outlined in the UCBA Collection Development Policy and check the Library Catalog to see if the Library already owns the item you wish to order.
If you are a faculty member and would like the library to order a Textbook for Course Reserves, please read the following. If your request meets one or both of the criteria below and the library does not already own a copy of the textbook, please use the form above to submit your request. The UCBA Library will order only 1 copy per title.
- If the bookstore will not have your course textbook(s) in time for the start of the semester (or when your students need it) or if the bookstore will not have enough copies for your students.
- If the textbook is not required for your course or is supplemental.
- If you would like to make a copy of your required textbook available as a back-up when students forget to bring their copy to campus.
Important Note to Faculty: Please continue to donate copies of textbooks for Course Reserves as needed. Multiple copies may be limited to due to space restraints.
