University of Cincinnati Libraries Launch Faculty-Staff Campaign

Peggy Wolf, Director of Development

The Libraries’ “We’re All Proudly Cincinnati” Faculty-Staff Campaign is being chaired by Mary Piper, Associate Senior Librarian in the Donald C. Harrison Health Sciences Library, and John Tebo, Head of the Ralph E. Oesper Chemistry-Biology Library. Their role is to encourage contributions from their library colleagues “to make a difference in the lives of our students, faculty, and staff at UC.”

“Our gifts to the Faculty/Staff Campaign not only make our libraries stronger, but convey a workforce that truly believes in the priorities of the “Proudly Cincinnati” campaign as we engage further public, corporate, and philanthropic support,” they said.

The campaign goal for the Libraries is to raise $10 million for facility improvements and collections with priority funding opportunities that include:

  • College-Conservatory of Music Library - provide new furniture and equipment for the newly designed space on the sixth floor of Blegen Library where the library will move later this year.
  • Classics Library - provide new furniture and facility improvements for new space on the fourth floor of Blegen Library for
this internationally recognized collection; this move is slated for 2010.
  • Langsam Library - upgrade furniture and equipment within UC’s largest library.
  • Library Collections Fund - improve collections in key areas, including the University’s Centers of Excellence.
  • Library Annual Fund - provide unrestricted gifts for discretionary use across all libraries.

Please consider supporting one of these priority funding areas by designating your gift via our secure Web page at <www.proudlycincinnati.org>. For further information, contact Mary Piper, (513) 558-1017, John Tebo (513) 556-1494, or Peggy Wolf (513) 556-0055.
