    This database contains over 60,000 citations for journal articles, books, book chapters, dissertations, conference papers, and audio-visual materials dealing with the use of alcohol and related consequences.   While its' primary focus is the alcohol literature, it also includes citations to the literature on other drug use and drug abuse.   The database includes research and professional material as well as a small collection of educational and prevention material, including audiovisuals suitable for students and educators, parents, and community workers.

    This site provides poverty-related links not only to UW-Madison resources but also to resources at a long list of other institutions as well as state and federal government agencies.   Especially helpful is the arrangement of these links by categories such as activism, homelessness, statistics and welfare reform.   A " Welfare Reform Research Database " provides a list of reports and studies categorized under subject headings such as caseloads, domestic violence, housing, and substance abuse with links to summaries or full-text.

    Developed as part of   Professor Michael C. Kearls', " A Sociological Tour Through Cyberspace "   this site provides links to resources such as the biology, psychology, and politics of aging.   It provides relevant information on topics such as aging and the economy, old age and religion, and community impacts of the aging revolution.
