Water Resources Abstracts UC only access

  • Summaries of the world's technical and scientific literature on water-related topics covering the characteristics, conservation, control, pollution, treatment, use and management of water resources. Sources include journals, books, conference proceedings, and technical reports in the physical and life sciences, as well as engineering, legal and government publications.

Web of Science  (Science Citation Index)

  • science database of bibliographic information indexed so that you can search for specific articles by subject, author, journal, and author address.   The information stored also includes cited references (bibliography), so you can search the database for articles that cite a known author or work.  Indexes more than 10,000 journals across 150 scientific disiplines.  Coverage dating from 1980. 

JSTOR

  • archives of over one thousand leading academic journals across the humanities, social sciences, and sciences, as well as select monographs. The entire collection is full-text searchable making it possible to search every word in every article in every journal.  Coverage from as early as 1665, with a “moving wall” of 2-5 years – defines the gap between the most recently published issue and the date of the most recent issue available from JSTOR.

Scopus

  • indexing, abstracting, and citation searching database for science and social science scholarly literature.  Includes quality web sources, conference proceedings, and trade publications.   Indexes 14,500 peer-reviewed journal and 1200 open-access journals, 575 trade publications, 315 book series,  23 million patent records, and 43 million webpages.  Coverage dating from 1823.
