Journal Alerts and RSS Feeds

Learn how you can create an account in the OhioLINK Electronic Journal Center (EJC) to create links to your frequent searches and receive new issue alerts.

Learn to create alerts in EBSCO databases (Academic Search Complete, Business Source Complete, etc).

Learn about RSS feeds and how you can create them for EJC and EBSCO databases and the Safari Tech Books Online collection.

Document Requests

Requesting materials from UC LIbraries
You may request available materials from other University of Cincinnati libraries to be sent to the library of their choice for pick up. Please note that if you request the item to be sent TO the library where the item is located, the request will be cancelled.

Requesting materials from OhioLINK
When desired materials are not available from any University of Cincinnati library locations, patrons may request available items from an OhioLINK library.

Placing holds and recalls on unavailable items

Requesting materials through Interlibrary Loan
If the item is not available in University of Cincinnati Libraries and OhioLINK member libraries, you can request it by Interlibrary Loan.

Online instruction
You may find a variety of information on finding, evaluating, and using information for faculty and students on the University Libraries Instruction pages. The students’ page includes course guides, printable handouts for selected classes/assignments. You may request a guide for your class by emailing olga.hart@uc.edu .

University Libraries has many special collections, both print and online, Visit the Special Collections page for detailed information. Here are some highlights:

Labs and Study Spaces

Langsam Library hosts UCit operated IBM and Mac labs on the 400 Level. Early in 2008 the labs will be replaced by by a 24/7 computer and study area that will be located on the 5th floor of Langsam. Visit the UCit computer labs site for information on hours, locations, software, etc.

In addition, it has a nuber of study carrles and group study rooms. Study spaces may also be avilable at your college or departmental library.
