NEW! Library Toolbar & Widget
The Library Toolbar acts as a companion to Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft's Internet Explorer web browsers. The toolbar allows you to search UC’s online catalog, other library search engines, and go to links for other library related applications quickly, right from your browser.
The UC Libraries Widget is a self-contained application that you can embed into your personal web space on sites such as Facebook and iGoogle. It provides quick and easy access to frequently used library search tols and information.

Document Requests
Requesting materials from UC LIbraries
You may request available materials from other University of Cincinnati libraries to be sent to the library of their choice for pick up. Please note that if you request the item to be sent TO the library where the item is located, the request will be cancelled.
Requesting materials from OhioLINK
When desired materials are not available from any University of Cincinnati library locations, patrons may request available items from an OhioLINK library.
Requesting materials through Interlibrary Loan
If the item is not available in University of Cincinnati Libraries and OhioLINK member libraries, you can request it by Interlibrary Loan.

Library Collections for Your (and Your Family's) Leisure and Fun
University Libraries has many special collections, both print and online, Visit the Special Collections page for detailed information. Here are some highlights:
- The Cohen Enrichment Collection is located on the fourth floor of Langsam Library in an alcove near the entrance to the building. The collection contains books in all subject areas, including cooking, popular fiction, history, and art. It is designed to “enrich and strengthen the educational experience at the University of Cincinnati” with special shelving for the books and comfortable seating. collection, conduct a subject search in the Library Catalog on artists' books.
- Elliston Poetry Room - 20th-century poetry collection of over 10,000 books, magazines, records, and recordings housed in Langsam Library.
- Videos and DVDs
University Libraries has a nice collection of videos and DVDs in all subjects areas. To limit your catalog searches to this medium, please select "Videos, Films and Slides" in the "Limit all searches to..." box (instead of "View entire collection.")
Labs and Study Spaces
UCit@Langsam, a 24/7 computer and study space, is located on the 5th floor of Langsam Library. With seating for 219 people, UCit@Langsam features 100 computers, four group study rooms, a quiet study room, and four group study rooms. All campus labs.
In addition, Langsam Library has a number of study carrels and group study rooms available on a first-come, first-served basis. Study spaces may also be avilable at your college or departmental library.
