The Latest Update to the Oxford English Dictionary Online
A new update of the Oxford English Dictionary has recently been published, bringing 2,506 new and revised entries from PURPRESS to QUIT SHILLING.
Oxford Reference Online
The latest update includes two new titles — The Oxford Companion to Australian Politics and The Oxford Dictionary of American Quotations and two new editions — The Concise Oxford Dictionary of Quotations and A Dictionary of Contemporary World History.
Oxford Scholarship Online
Oxford Scholarship Online is a vast and rapidly expanding cross-searchable library which now offers quick and easy access to the full text of over 1,900 Oxford books. OhioLINK Electronic Book Center
The OhioLINK Electronic Book Center Advanced Search screen now allows users to type their search terms in the "limit to subject area" box. This is an enhancement form the previous version that only allowed users to select from a limited drop-down menu of terms representing major subject categories.
ScienceDirect E-books
As of 2008, the Elsevier ScienceDirect searchable e-book collection includes 1,829 books covering the years 1995-2006. The seven subject areas included in the collection are: Agricultural and Biological Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Energy, Engineering, Environmental Science, and Materials Science.

China Online Journals
OhioLINK member institutions now have access to 257 Chinese-language arts and humanities journals in the China Online Journals collection from Wanfang.
Currently, we are able to access all 6,000 journals in the China Online Journals collection, not just the 257 we are paying for. This may change in the future.

Digital National Security Archive (DNSA)
With funding from the Taft Research Committee, University Libraries has purchased the Digital National Security Archive (DNSA) and we now have online access to this resource.
The Digital National Security Archive is the most comprehensive collection available of significant primary documents central to U.S. foreign and military policy since 1945. Over 63,000 of the most important, declassified documents - totaling more than 488,144 pages - are included in this database.
GEOBASE
GEOBASE is a multidisciplinary database of indexed research literature on the earth sciences, including geology, human and physical geography, environmental sciences, oceanography, geo-mechanics, alternative energy sources, pollution, waste management and nature conservation. It covers thousands of peer-reviewed journals, trade publications, book series and conference proceedings.
GreenFILE
Recently, EBSCO Publishing announced the release of GreenFILE, a bibliographic database of information about environmental concerns. This database is being made freely available at www.greeninfoonline.com.
GreenFILE indexes scholarly and general interest titles, as well as government documents and reports. This resource offers a unique perspective on the positive and negative ways humans affect the environment. Drawing on the connection between the environment and disciplines such as agriculture, education, law, health and technology, GreenFILE serves as an informative resource for anyone concerned about the issues facing our planet. The database contains nearly 300,000 records, full text for selected titles and searchable cited references for more than 200 titles as well.

LISTA
EBSCO Publishing is proud to provide the Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts (LISTA) database as a free resource to anyone interested in libraries and information management. Making of the Modern World: Goldsmiths'-Kress Library of Economic Literature 1450-1850 provides digital facsimile images on every page of 61,000 works of literature on economic and business published from 1450 through 1850. AP Images has a new interface. To navigate the site you can use the tabs at top, categories on the left, or type your terms in the search box. Advanced search is also available.

The Architecture and Urban Planning Collection
The Architecture and Urban Planning Collection, produced by the Design, Architecture, Art and Planning (DAAP) Library, contains over 2,800 images from China, Africa, Europe, and the United States, particularly in Cincinnati. The images in the collection were provided by University of Cincinnati students, faculty, and staff, professional and amateur photographers, and the Cincinnati Preservation Association. Many of the images represent urban planning research projects of DAAP faculty and students.
ERIC
Early this year ERIC added over 31,000 full-text documents previously available only on microfiche. To date, more than 95,000 digitized documents have been made available on the ERIC Web site in full-text. New content is being added monthly.
