Includes information such as legal classifications (for example, for liquor), USDA requirements (for example, required percentage of meat in meat products), information on biotechnology, etc.

Food Industries Manual (24th Edition)

This book is the one-stop reference source for the food industry. It covers all aspects of the production of food, from its origin through packaging, storage, etc.

Handbook of Indices of Food Quality and Authenticity

This book addresses the development of the concept of food quality, safety and authenticity and provides a lot of factual information related to quality standards. This resource can also be used to identify some problems and controversies related to the production and safety of foods.

Wiley Encyclopedia of Food Science and Technology (2nd Edition) Volumes 1-4

This encyclopedia features A-to-Z coverage of all aspects of food science, including the properties, analysis, and processing of foods; genetic engineering of new food products; and nutrition.

This magazine is great for identifying controversies over various foods. To be able to search the magazine for the food or topic of interest to you, it is better to access this magazine through a database, such as Academic Search Complete or ProQuest Research Library (these links will limit your search to WorldWatch magazine).
