Bite Into an Edible Book with University Libraries

Edible Books Festival: Tuesday, April 4 at 1pm in the 5th floor lobby of Langsam Library

Super Fudge by Judy BlumeMarch 27, 2006 - For the 5th consecutive year, University Libraries will celebrate the International Edible Books Festival with an event scheduled for April 4 at 1pm in the 5th floor lobby of Langsam Library.

Free and open to the public, the Edible Books Festival will celebrate literature with books good enough to eat. Participants will make edible books with such delicious titles as The Science of Chocolate, The Princess and the Pea, Green Eggs and Ham, and Tortilla Flat among other literary greats.

As in year's past, entries will be judged according to such categories as "Most Delicious," "Most Creative," and "Most Literary." This year, judges will award a special student prize of a $25 Bookstore Gift Certificate for the best student entry. After judging, the entries will be served for the consumption and enjoyment of all in attendance.

For more information on the Edible Books Festival, visit the International Edible Books Festival Web site at http://books2eat.com/yearlyfestival.html or e-mail melissa.norris@uc.edu.
