Bite Into an Edible Book with University Libraries

Edible Books Festival: Tuesday, April 4 at 1pm in the 5th floor lobby of Langsam Library

Super Fudge by Judy BlumeMarch 8, 2006 - For the 5th consequtive year, University Libraries will celebrate the International Edible Books Festival with an event scheduled for April 4 at 1pm in the 5th floor lobby of Langsam Library. University Libraries is seeking those interested in creating an edible book for the viewing and consuming enjoyment of those in attendance at the event. There are few restrictions for those interested in creating an edible book -- namely that the creation be edible and have something to do with a book. Past entries have included such edible titles as The Catcher and the Rye, Cider House Rules, The Old Man and the Sea, and Animal Farm among other literary greats.

As in year's past, entries will be judged according to such categories as "Most Delicious," "Most Creative," and "Most Literary." This year, judges will award a special student prize of a $25 Bookstore Gift Certificate for the best student entry

Those interested in creating an edible book should e-mail melissa.norris@uc.edu by Friday, March 24 with the name of their entry.
