University Libraries Celebrates Hispanic Heritage MonthEach September and October, the University of Cincinnati celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with events to build awareness and understanding of Hispanic culture. Hispanic Heritage Month officially begins on September 15, the anniversary of independence for five Latin-American countries: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. In addition, Mexico declared its independence on September 16 and Chile on September 18.
In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, University Libraries hosted an exhibit on Langsam Library’s 4th floor featuring films and books from their collection of Hispanic resources available throughout University Libraries. Below are highlights from the exhibit:

The videos and books included in the exhibit are available via the Library Catalog.
